Dana Harrison
Program Supervisor

I became a Social Service Worker because as a young girl all I ever wanted to do was make a positive difference in as many people’s lives as I could, and while completing the Personal Support Worker program at the City Adult Learning Centre in 2008, I developed a strong passion for working with the developmental disability population. That passion stayed with me and has led me to complete the Social Service Worker Program at Centennial College.

In fall 2020, I began as a placement student at The Centre for Dreams and after completing my first day, I knew for sure that I was committed and dedicated to working with this population. My journey from co-op student to staff has been such a gratifying and fulfilling experience. Our members have taught me what it means to embrace your dreams, and they have also shown me what inclusion and resilience really is. I am honored that they have welcomed me and are allowing me to advocate on their behalf and be a part of their support team as I continue to learn and grow with them each day. Being a part of the Dream Team is truly a dream come true.
