Creative Movement & Music

What is it?

Creative Movement & Music is an Alternative Therapies course that encourages participants to explore creativity through music and movement. Through a variety of interactive activities, participants will have opportunities to move to music, explore rhythm, express themselves, and connect with others in a fun and supportive environment. The course is designed to promote self-expression, confidence, social connection, and overall well-being while encouraging participants to discover their own unique ways of moving and creating.

Creative Movement & Music

Participant Readiness:

  • Enjoy music, movement, and creative activities

  • Are comfortable participating in a group setting

  • Are open to trying new activities and forms of self-expression

  • Can participate safely in movement-based activities, with support or adaptations as needed

Program Learning Outcomes:

  • Explore different forms of movement, music, and rhythm

  • Build confidence in creative self-expression

  • Develop coordination and body awareness through movement

  • Strengthen social skills through shared group activities

  • Identify ways music and movement can support mood and well-being
